Hello,welcome to our 6th grade World Social Studies classes.My name is Priscilla Jeffries.I've always had a passion for learning about other cultures,religions,history, and archeology.I've been attracted to the culture and language of Spanish since I was 15.I studied Spanish 2 years in high school,18 months in college, and a class in Granada,Spain through the University of California in 1992.I a passion for learning through books,other people.and through travel.I've traveled to Europe for 7 weeks in 1992.Five weeks in Spain,weekend in Morroco,the rest of the time was divided up between the countries of Germany,Austria,Italy, and Greece.In 1994,I spent a week in Canada,4 weeks in Egypt with Egyptians.I'm planning to go to Washington DC this summer and I spent a week in New York City in 2004.I look forward to sharing all of this with my students as well as learning from them.We will learn together through the internet,movies,and through any way possible. I stress the importance and uniquness of each student.
