    Mr. George Link
Our children are our future!
Hello, I am George Link, and I teach 6th grade Science and 6th grade AP Science. In my classroom, students will be exposed to a variety of science disciplines including life, earth, and physical science. We will discuss energy (with an emphasis on alternate energy sources), and environmental issues as well. I want my class to be a fun learning experience for all students, and I encourage them to bring their life experiences into the classroom as well.

In addition, I teach 7th-8th Grade Science Enrichment. In this class, students will explore soil science, ecosystems,
environmental issues, and basic chemistry in a more relaxed environment. I also teach principles of crude oil production
to the students, many of whom have family employed in the oil industry. Students will also visit the planetarium for space updates from Mr. Hemann, as well as a digital photography class.

I encourage my students to participate in class discussions, and to explore science outside the classroom as well. Students may come to my classroom anytime after school if they need extra help, or just want to work on their assignments.

I am a graduate of Texas Tech University (BS in Range Management) and the Region 18 ESC Educator Certification Program. I have also attended Odessa College, Sul Ross University, and the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. I am married with 2 children and 2 grandchildren.
My hobbies include fishing, photography, and metalwork.
