Mrs. Alaniz |
Hello, My name is Debbie Alaniz and I am currently one of the 7th grade math teachers at Andrews Middle School. I have always had a desire to teach Science and Math, so I returned to college after being a stay at home mom for ten years. I received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology with a Minor in Mathematics. Before, working in Andrews I taught at Reagan Magnet School in Odessa. I was thrilled when I was hired here in Andrews, since I have lived here for 22 years and I am planning to call it home for a long time to come. |

Danielle, my second child is a sophomore at Andrews high school and Ryan, my youngest is an 8th grader at Andrews middle school. |

The Classroom |
My goal in the classroom is to engage each student by helping them demonstrate, examine, create, justify and evaluate many math concepts. We will do so as a whole group, in pairs, in small groups and individually. I truly want to impart to each student, life skills in the area of mathematics that will help him or her way beyond my classroom. It has been a wonderful year and I am looking forward to many more years to come. |
